Rules of Conduct for Mobilize Waco Meetings
Introduction Open meetings are important for transparency and participation. To keep things orderly and productive, we need to follow these rules:
1. Respectful Communication
oSpeak respectfully to everyone.
oFocus on issues, not people.
oOnly one person speaks at a time. No interruptions.
2. Participation and Speaking Order
oRaise your hand or use the electronic system to speak.
oThe chair will call on speakers in order.
oTime limits may be set for each speaker to ensure everyone has a chance to talk.
3. Public Participation
oStick to the meeting topic.
oPublic comments should be short (2-3 minutes) and relevant.
oDisruptive behavior (like shouting or interrupting) will lead to removal.
4. Recording and Documentation
oMeetings will be recorded and live-streamed with captions.
oASL interpretation is available with at least 10 business day’s written notice.
oMeeting summaries can be requested in writing.
5. Enforcement
oThe chair or moderator will enforce these rules.
oSerious or repeated violations will result in warnings or removal.
