Got 30 Seconds? Shape the future of Mobilize Waco

Community Events

  • Date: Tuesday 05/19/2026
    Time: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
    Duration: 2 hours
Where: Waco-McLennan County Library Central Library, 1717 Austin Ave, Waco, TX 76701, USA
    Description:

Come one, come all!  Everyone is welcome to come learn about the new GIS app!

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a smart mapping tool that helps us see and understand information about our community on a map. For Mobilize Waco, the presentation will focus on new public reporting tools that allow residents to identify and report accessibility barriers such as damaged sidewalks and curb ramps, non-accessible signal push buttons, or other concerns using a web browser or mobile device.

At the May meeting, Bob Sisco will provide a follow-up presentation on how online smart mapping and reporting tools can support ADA accessibility efforts in the Greater Waco area. Community members will be able to submit a description of the issue, select the type of concern, and identify the location on a map or by address. These tools can help gather community input, identify areas needing improvement, and support accessibility advocacy efforts throughout the Waco area.

Download the app here or utilize the online reporting tool on our website from the link below:
