💙 What is Grandy’s Stash?
Grandy’s Stash is a community-powered project from Mobilize Waco that collects donated durable medical equipment (DME) and essential health supplies—especially incontinence products—and gets them into the hands of home health clients who need them most.
💡 Why it Matters
Many homebound individuals can’t afford the equipment and supplies they need to stay safe and healthy. Without them, they face serious risks like falls, skin breakdown, and medical complications. Grandy's Stash helps bridge that gap—with dignity and care.
🤝 Who’s Behind It?
This effort is a joint mission from Mobilize Waco and Baylor Scott & White Health’s Faith in Action program. Together, we’re creating a safety net of supplies for our neighbors.
🛠️ How it Works
-
Donations come from home health and hospice agencies with surplus goods.
-
Supplies are stored at Faith in Action’s warehouse.
-
Home health agencies request what their clients need.
-
Mobilize Waco volunteers deliver durable equipment, and agency practitioners bring nondurable items during visits.

💖 Why “Grandy’s Stash”?
This project honors the memory of Patricia Murphy Sweeney—“Grandy” to her grandkids, “Pat” to her friends—mother of Mobilize Waco’s founder, Meg Wallace. Grandy, who passed away in July 2024 after living with dementia, was a brilliant resource manager, a fierce advocate for people with disabilities, and a champion of community care.
Her legacy lives on in every item we pass along—with love, compassion, and a little Grandy-style ingenuity.
